i met her. what an attitude! i told her i was a fan and she ignored me. i asked for an autograph and she hit me with a machete. then i tried to take her picture and she pulled out a gun and then ran me off the road. Then, as I was lying in a ditch, she released the hounds
she is as mean as they come. pure evil incarnate. she was supposed to be on trial at the Hague, but she intimidated all the witnesses. she has a mean left hook and once shot a man in Tulsa just for snoring. she swears like a sailor and can d111crink County Cork under the table.
stay away from this spawn of satan!

How could even type this, given the fact that she broke your fingers?
I smell something phony around here

My buddy, Biscardi, worked with her on Splinterheads and said she was very nice to the extrasHe told me she even signed the yearbooks for the kids. He said she was very pleasant to work with and he pisses everyone off.

Your assumption is correct, dolfin00. Not only is Lea not "mean," but she is completely the opposite: the kindest person you would ever want to meet.
Lea once said in an interview that you have really accomplished something if you can make it through this life while maintaining a kind heart. And she lives by that philosophy.
I have had the honor of meeting Lea on several occasions and let me tell you, it is impossible to imagine anyone kinder or nicer than Lea. There is an old proverb that says "The eyes are the mirror of the soul," and if you ever have the chance to meet Lea, take a look in her eyes, and you will see a kind and warm and caring soul.
It is unfortunate that the person who started the "not friendly to fans" topic had a disappointing experience, but I can only say that there must have been some sort of misunderstanding. Lea Thompson would never intentionally be mean or rude to anyone, especially one of her fans.

I met her, we had cocktails, danced a litle and then went back to my suite. She begged for it 'wolverine style'? WTF.

Sat next to her at a studio city Starbucks as she graciously thanked a gushing male fan and engaged him in a brief conversation. I didn't engage her as I was right next to her and, due to my working in the film industry for so long, I'm trained to give celebrities their privacy But for the record, everything about her demeanor and energy was scented with a kindness and generosity rarely exhibited by even regular folks.
We should keep in mind that celebs never know when a fan is gonna cross over and become egregiously fawning or downright dangerous; it's stressful because you want to believe most people are good, but you can never satisfy the selfish and entitled (essentially, those who talk beep after one meeting).

I met her at the Emerald City Comic Con two years ago.
I introduced myself and shook her hand, and turned to leave, when she asked me about my shirt and said she liked it.
I think she's the only celebrity who went out of their way to talk with me.
So yeah, I consider her as being nice.

super late reply but i just met her yesterday at the silicon valley comic con and she was REALLY nice. like, while others were having pics taken before me and my bf, i could hear laughter from the area where they were taking pics.
then me and my bf's turn came and she was just super forthcoming. she shook my hand, then my bf's and asked his name then i told her mine; i even mentioned how much i love her show on freeform. then i asked for a hug and OH MAN that was one hellova hug. she totally squeezed me and rocked back and forth. i was teetering between OMG OMG OMG to holy cow this is tight! hahaha!
and then, later, i decided to get an autograph from her as well and she remembered me, saying how great it was to see me again. she even was like "hello gorgeous! look how cute you look in this photo!" and then we talked about her show again and then she goes, "you look so happy in this photo :)" and i go, "well.. i mean, i was with you.. of course!" and she beamed and i asked for another hug and she repeated the same type of hug she gave me earlier. so yah, i pretty much died. then i told her to stay beautiful and went on my merry way.
it's unfortunate for those who didn't have that great of an experience with her, but i hope they're open enough to try a second time.
on the other hand, i also met and got an autograph with bonnie wright (ginny weasley from HP) and she was kind of soft spoken. friendly, but soft spoken. she did say, "hello, how are you?" right before we took our picture and all i could muster was a squeal, but yah it was a different experience with her. not bad, but not bubbly and open like lea. i WAS able to get a hug from her, too, though but it wasn't like lea's hug either. either way, she didn't have to, but she obliged (would she dare say no? hahaha.. she could have, but she didn't). and before i left, i complimented her on her portrayal as ginny and said it's unfortunate it's all over.
but yah met lea, was VERY pleasantly surprised and thought it wasn't a waste at all. and yes, she's aging like fine wine.
