Folks hate if a star is skinny and they hate if that star gains ANY weight. People just like to throw stones. It makes them feel better to feel worse and drag others into it.
I adore Kathleen. I've always been a huge fan of hers and she'll always be wonderful.

This is true. Go on Lindsay Lohan - too thin, go on Kristen Langanese - too fat. Scarlett Johansen - ugly, Julia Roberts - a freak. It's ridiculous. You are either mean and bash people no matter what or you don't. That's how it seems. I am sure there are some who fall in between but not many. -

I feel bad when someone has gained a lot of weight. Seems like they've lost control of their body.
I know there are out-liers that can't control things, but these days everyone seems to have an excuse, I'm bi-polar, I'm addicted, etc. But I love KT and I wish her the best and would definitely NOT think poorly of her under any circumstances. Love KT.
I'm not a woman much less Deanna Durbin, but the old-time glam-shot appeals to me. -

I suppose she could go into hidding but I admire her bravery instead to stand up and talk about it and continue to go forward to educate everyone on her condition and try not to let all the negative comments get her spirits down. I am sure it is sooo very hard because people can be so brutal.

Kathleen Turner has one of the most remarkable voices in all film. and yes, was one of the most beautiful women on the screen and now, one of the most elegant women on screen and a legend. Few actresses are all that. When we look back on her career in the distant future, she will be judged by her body of work, which is remarkable.

I find it ridicu1908lous to feel hate for someone you don't know and how has never done anything against you. I can find some people annoying but I won't waste my energy on hating them.
As for Kathleen Turner, she has changed since the 80s but she has my total respect for so many reasons. First, she's been brave to fight what she's had to go through in her personal life. Second, she still has charisma and talent. She's got class and she's the perfect example that class is about stature and intelligence. I actually prefer the roles she's had since the late 90s like The Virgin Suicides or the parts she played on stage.
The higher you fly, the faster you fall.

For the most part, I don't hate her. I liked her in Undercover Blues (1993), A Simple Wish (1997), and Romancing the Stone (1984). I also liked her voice work in Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988).

I agree. Good actress. I loved her in Romancing The Stonemy favorite movie with her.
As far as her having a tough time,I don't think it was that as much as it was probably the two vices of Hollywood ; Drugs and Alcohol.
