After True Detective Season 2, he's really improves me a lot as a serious dramatic actor outside than just a comedian.
I can see him in the next Christopher Nolan film, and be really superior like Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar.

True. If someone did a montage of excerpts from his movies and shows including True Detective, I doubt I'll be able to tell if he was doing a dramatic or a comedic act in the True Detective parts.
