All time favorite Star Trek Female lead

In the series, Nana was the MOST SPIRITED female character, ever. And, while beautiful, she was not obviously cast to be sexy, like about 80% of all female roles in Star Trek. The funny thing about 1960's Star Trek is that Racism is dead, but Sexism is still VERY MUCH ALIVE !!
The only other time they got HALF the spirit in a female lead was with Janeway, who in my opinion was a rather stiff character with not enough motivation or conflict to carry her show. In Voyager, the medical Doctor put in such an outstanding and interesting and amusing performance, that he overshadowed every other character on the show!
If you cast Avery Brooks/Cisco ("Spencer!") and Nana Visitor/Kira in ANY television show TOGETHER, you've got a winner, I don't care WHO ELSE appears in the show !!!

It's Sisko.
But yeah, I agree Nana was the best female lead in Star Trek and my favourite as well. And I think she was also the most beautiful too.

She was certainly the most well-rounded character that happened to be female. She also just happened to have the most acting talent. Okay, I have to say it: she is the hottest actress that was ever cast in a Star Trek series. That is my opinion, feel free to disagree.

As a recent convert to DS9, I've only seen the first two series so far but Kira is easily my favourite character. Also, and what no-one seems to mention is - for the first two series at least - she also seems to be the LEAD character, as I'm sure she has much more screen time than Sisko.
