I've said it elsewhere, since he died: don't be sad, for him. He lived a long and full life. And don't be sad for yourself, losing him: we will always have his movies. His immortality is assured.

        I'm the same way
I'm still watching his movies since I heard about his death 8 days ago.ive had like 6 of them on dvd and now trying to upgrade them to bluray. He will always be one of my favorite actors ever!
In fact he was one of the best Hollywood ever had and most of his movies will live on forever past our time.
I wanna get one of his book to read.

T'aint nothing wrong with being sad, my friend. We shall certainly miss Mr. Wilder, and being sad about his passing is no bad thing. Just remember how much you enjoyed his best roles.
Cry as much as you need to, and just recall how much you enjoyed his talents.

The book is somewhere in my pile (after a while, as a middle-aged bachelor, you give up on bookshelves and just stack on any handy horizontal surface), but I don't recall being terribly impressed by it.
Impressed by his acting? Don't know if I can properly express how much I love his acting. He stars in three of my favourite films (Producers, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein), plus his creepy 'Willy Wonka,' and 'The Frisco Kid' which showcased his genuine heart and sweetness, more than any of his other films, I believe. He brought his genuine sweetness to every role, including his 'Willy Wonka.'
I've heard that Roald Dahl hated 'Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory;' 'Charlie And The Chocolate Factory' had a much freakier Willy Wonka, and it showed off how really talented Depp is at playing a disturbating character.
And yes, I know that 'disturbating' ain't a word; watch Depp in 'Charlie And The Chocolate Factory' and tell me that 'disturbating' shouldn't be in the dictionary.
Nothing sexual, no; but 'disturbating' should be something that is aggravating, disturbing, and frightening. And fun.
