Had no idea she was such an idiot.

I'm not surprised by those who are attacking her. Her detractors certainly aren't on speaking terms with the truthor reality.

Wasn't Sean Penn who locked his former spouse Madonna in the closet and also was jealous or angry at Madonna's friendship with Sandra Bernhardt because she was a lesbian? Oh my, how Sean is suddenly singing a different tune. This comes from the pot head of Fast Times at Ridgemond High who never attended college and who ran through a gate at Angelina and Brad Pitt's compound with reckless abandonment ala John Wayne. These Hollywood libs who acts high and almighty bunch of high school drop-out.

you DO know that fast times was a fictional movie, right idiot?
just look at her and listen to her talk, sean penn is way more versed than her in every way imaginable
you're gonna bash sean penn for not having a college degree? he doesn't really need one. i'm sure he's still a lot smarter than "the former miss venezuela" (VERY former)
also, to the people saying she is both cuban AND venezuelan, she was born in cuba FIFTY-TWO YEARS AGO, and has lived in venezuela since
that makes her comment about sean supporting castro totally out of line, sean has spent more time in cuba than this stupid bimbo -

i'm sure he didn't sleep in a sleeping bag in the street, no but if you're implying maria's parents (who had the money to move her to a different country when she was born and raise her as a miss universe contestant) were ghetto revolutionaries, fighting against oppression - then i think you have been severely misled
wonders why she doesn't attack oliver stone who has publically supported castro for YEARS as evident in Oliver Stone's America
basically, she never even lived there except as a baby her parents fled, and raised her to complain about it her whole life even though she has no experience of it herself
that would be like if i was born in america during the bush years, and my parents didn't like it and moved me to canada then fastforward 30 years and here i am, claiming to be an american because i was born there, talking trash about the government who i haven't lived under this entire time
castro is a great leader of the people cuba WAS being oppressed by their government and because of that, they rose up under the revolutionary Castro, and took their country back by force
that's why american right-wingers hate him so much they see him as a dangerous idol for communist children
did you know that castro can (and does) walk out into the (poor) streets of cuba, where he is embraced by the people and has actual pertinant conversations with them?
yeah, sounds like a terrible fascist to me. why don't you guys do your own research before believing some twit based on her very uninformed word? -

Were you there to see him do that. Leaders often do things that appear to be like that under the lens (which by the way Castro is the editor of), he is surrounded by plain clothed bodyguards. Some of those "people" are actually those that are part of the communist party, and those who aren't what are they going to do? They are easily outnumbered and will be killed at first try at an assessination. Also humans have fear. Those you see him on the streets with are usually old people and women with children. If you are saying this based on archival b&w footage from the late 50s/early 60s, then yes. Then again those were different times and the greater truth about him was yet to be experienced.
castro is a great leader of the people
Well Dahmer 666, what an irony considering your namesake.
cuba WAS being oppressed by their government 1ebcand because of that, they rose up under the revolutionary Castro, and took their country back by force
Cuba is in much worse condition than it was under Batista. That is not to say that Bastista was good, in fact if you do some research in Cuba there was already a development to try to get Batista out of power legally, of course Castro's revolution got more attention. When it comes to Batista and Castro it's basically choosing the lesser evil.
why don't you guys do your own research before believing some twit based on her very uninformed word?
You should instead. I don't get my news from Maria Conchita Alonso, and nowhere did she claim that she is 100% Cuban. But between her and Penn on Cuba, her statements hold more ground. -

Maria Conchita is pretty much right about Sean Penn, but wrong about Juanes.
The whole concert in La Habana was done towards a cultural exchange and to open political talks rather between nations of the Americas and Cuba, and never once it showed support for Castro and his regime. If Maria Conchita felt offended because Silvio Rodriguez (a Castro supporter) was performing, then that's her problem. -

I just find it ironic how she is being called stupid or a bimbo here, when we've had people like Danny Glover, Sean Penn, Oliver Stone, Robert Redford, Steven Spielberg, Harry Belafonte, and others say nicer things about dictators like Castro and Chavez than about a president they might disagree with politically, like Bush. What does that say about them? That they love dictators and third world strongmen? They may not, but it sure looks that way. I wonder what these idiots would have done with Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini? On second thought, I really don't have to wonder, they probably would have embraced them as well. I'm not saying Ms. Alonso is a genius, but if she was living in those countries or had family members who did or continue to, that gives her more credibility on the subject than those celebutards who fly in and shake hands with their favorite tyrant. I'd like to know how anybody can praise or like dictator. Obviously too many in the entertainment business prefer tyranny to freedom, or they wouldn't be making nice with these guys. Either that or these celebrities are wanna-be tyrants themselves.

You socialists are a bunch of brain-dead, subhuman parasites. You're not worth trying to have a discussion with because you can't understand reality. The only reasonable thing that can be done about you is to defeat you.

Maria Conchita was also planning some dumb anti-Chavez movie where she tries to justify the 2002 coup against his ELECTED government.
There have been plenty of movies about Hitler's elected government. Are you against those, as well. or just the ones about Venezuela's dictator?

If you support a dictator, you are basically evil. I don't care if you are right or left wing. There is no excuse, no valid explanation. If you support a dictator you're a sorry excuse for a human being.
The fact that she called him out despite his status in Hollywood, makes her a hero in my book.
