            Check out Arne Mattsson's Mannequin in Red (1958) A giallo from Sweden several years before the Italians started making them.

                I like among others, House With Laughing Windows, Lizard in a Womans Skin, All The Colours of the Dark, Black Belly of the Tarantula, Strip Nude For Your Killer, A Bay of Blood, Blood And BLack Lace, Don't Torture A Duckling, Who Saw Her Die (with George Lazenby), Case Of The Bloody Iris, The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave is bonkers, Short Night of the Glass Dolls, Footprints, Messiah of Evil, The Frightened Woman, Phantom of Death,
                Plus the ones already mentioned in above posts are worth a look.
                I miss the red spoiler tags.

                    If you're looking for a modern film that I think screams early Argento's, then check out the awesome film Julia's Eyes. A really brilliant giallo-esque film that's oozing with style and really reminds me of some of Argento's better films
