I'm starting with Trauma and Stendhal Syndrome. I may check out Phantom of the Opera too. Any others I should go for too?

You should also go with Deep Red, Suspiria, and Opera. Those are my favorites.

'Phenomena' is phenomenal. You can skip 'Trauma' unless you become a die-hard fan of Argento.

Go for "Phenomena", "Opera", "Tenebre", "Suspiria", "Deep Red", "The bird with the crystal plumage", "Inferno"you can go no wrong with these movies!
"I may check out Phantom of the Opera too"
Be warned it's a very uneven movie! Not really recommended if you haven't seen before better 5b4Argento films!

My vote: Stick to his early thrillers (THE BIRD WITH THE CRYSTAL PLUMAGE, THE CAT O' NINE TAILS, FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET and especially DEEP RED). If at that point you have to see more, check out SUSPIRIA, TENEBRAE and OPERA. Beyond that you're asking for trouble.

Skip anything after Stendhal Syndrome unless you really get into Argento. None of those are that great, with lot of them being quite bad.
"Sleepless" was pretty descent tho from that era.
