PHENOMENA, in part because of my teenage years nostalgia (first time i watched the film, i was 17) but i really like the film's visuals, mood, landscapes, poetic lyrical toneand Jennifer Connelly's performance and character.
Then i also like very much OPERA, THE STENDHAL SYNDROME, BIRD WITH PLUMAGE CRYSTAL, DEEP RED, TENEBRE, THE CARD PLAYER, TRAUMA, etc!

DEEP RED all the way But The Animal Trilogy is also essential viewing.

Deep Red for sure. Yeah, Suspiria is more famous, and maybe more stylish, but his camera work and cuts in Deep Red are mathematically precise. Camera is literally character on it's own in Deep Red.
Others that are really worth mentioning are Inferno and Opera. Camera work in Opera sometimes just goes berserk.
