So111cmething I would have been curious to see Argento do for a film project is a direct sequel to one of his earlier films from the 70s or 80s featuring a return appearance by one or more of the surviving characters from the first two Mother films or one of his gaillo films. Since it is probably too late for a project like this to made into a movie I think a novel or comic book mini series could possibly work.
Some ideas for a Argento sequel story would be the following:
A sequel/ crossover sequel to both "Suspiria" and "Inferno" where the characters of Suzy Banyon and Mark Elliot join forces to battle disciples of the three mothers.
A sequel to "Phenomena" where Jennifer Corvino resurfaces as a homicide detective or private eye who uses her power to telepathically communicate with insects to solve murders.

Argento seems to put his films behind him once he's done with them and moves on. I don't think he'd be interested in doing a sequel. He's complained in the past about fans wanting the same film from him over and over again. It's the reason people don't like most of his recent work, I believe. He isn't interested in making the same type of movies over and over again.

Phenomena is probably the only one that could support a sequel. Jennifer Connolly would never do it though.
