Yeah Zombies Halloween sucked. And Argentos new stuff isnt that good but the 70s/80s stuff he was involved with? Suspiria, Phenomena, Deep Red, Opera, Tenebrae, Demons? Come on, those movies rule!

dario argento of 70's,80's and early 90's is a genius,true master of horrorall his early movies are brilliant
unfortunately something paranormal and unexplained has happened and his talent disappeared,same thing I can say about Carpenter

Yeah, agree, his early movies are beautiful to look at, and he was still strong during the '90s , but he went downhill with Phantom of the Opera and rest of that fallowed (altho, I kinda liked Mother of Tears. It wasn't good, but it had some charm to it, because it was all over the place and it had some interesting moments)
That "paranormal and unexplained" that happen to both Argento and Carpenter can be called age. They are both nearly 70 (Argento even over 70 now) so I guess it's harder for them to direct a movie. They don't have lot of energy and enthusiasm like they had during their prime.
and Argento always did movies based on what his current world view or fascination was, and god only knows what goes around his head in his seventies. Last time I checked, he told Jennifer (from MoH) was an alien. lol
