An Old Remembrance - What Happened to Frankie's out-of-wedlock child?

When I was about 9 - 12 years old (I was born in 1950), I was an avid reader of "Teen" Magazine. And there was an article there or at least in a teen-oriented magazine or the newspaper that told the story of Frankie Avalon having a one-night stand with a girl who became pregnant from that one time. And I believe that there was a photo of him looking solemnly at the baby that was born to her in the hospital. (Remember that this was the time before journalists went nuts and news items "went viral" in a day. In fact I don't recall there being a second article about the event. ) It might have been an "as told by" the girl who got pregnant. I remember her saying that Frankie told her he would like to name the baby after one of his songs, which I don't remember at this time. ("Venus" ?)
Those were the only two times that Frankie Avalon encountered the girl, she said.
Does anyone else remember this article or this event?
