I read that in 40 years he drank an estimated 640 barrels of hard liquor. Ok, at first that didnt say to me that much. I calculated that that would mean about FIVE LITRES A DAY!!!! Im sure you`ve seen this estimation. This is as impossible as it just is. FIVE LITRES OF HARD BOOZE A DAY! One day of that would kill every single man.

WC Fields was his drinking buddy and he was putting away about 2 quarts of gin a day.
