Has anyone read this? I picked up a copy of this book at a thrift store and I've worn it out! It's a really incredible readAnne Baxter was a fantastic writer!

YES, I have read it! First time many years ago and have just finished it for the second time. Mine's a worn out thrift store copy also
Fascinating story - I love it! I just wish she had written a follow-up book for what happened next in her life. -

I read a book by Anne Baxter in which she described her life in Australia with her second husband and her daughters. It was a good book, don't remember the title. She made Shoo Fly Pie which sounded delicious. I remember too that when she was a young actress she would buy pies and eat them speeding down the road, but she didn't swallow, spit them out the window.
