Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Annette Bening

I think Annette could take Best Actress 2017. Or 2018. I think she has the overdue factor in her favor. This year Stone and Portman are strong, but Portman's won before and Stone's still young. With Viola Davis going Supporting, I think Annette could win this year. Then there's next year. Something tells me Stone and Bening will be back in the running for Battle of the Sexes and Film Stars Don't Die In Liverpool, respectively. One of them could take this year and the other could take next year. Then there's Jessica Chastain, who's 2017 is shaping up to be her strongest year yet.

She will probably lose to Natalie again, which sucks.

maybe if her and her pervert over rated husband didn't throw these wild "vote for me" oscar parties she would have been nominated this year. they are notorious for it

She deserved an Oscar nom for 20th Century Women (more so than Emma Stone in LLL and Meryl Streep FFJ). It sucks that SAG snubbed her too.
