same sh*t different year,different actress. 1st it was Hilary now Natalie lol. If it wasnt for the two of them, it CLEARLY wouldve been Annette! I still have no doubt in my mind shes gonna get that damn Oscar one day.

I don't think Annette is 'shamed' but I think at least ONCE she's wondered why the hell she didn't win. I think that's why she seemed so chill this year when it came time for oscar campaigning and such- she's used to losing out, so she just decided what ever will be will be. I would've loved for her to wi but Portman was aggressive with her oscar campaign and being all up in every one's faces all season long

At least they dont get the oscar curse.. Meryl or Annette dont deserve the curse cuz they have a long term marriage life -

Well i'm sure Annette has better things in mind than the Oscars! she has a wonderful family. Why would she fret just because she lost from an OVERrated performance/movie? that movie was only "famous" but nothing in it really.

I couldn't agree more. I can think of ten middle aged women who could have just as easily played her role. Julianne Moore was definitely just as good (if not better). Natalie Portman actually had to train and transform. Annette Benning had to get a haircut and have a deeper voice. There was absolutely nothing stand out about her role, especially when you compare it to the others nominated and the past winners.
