I know for a fact she is at least bisexual. I've seen her on interviews (in the 90's) where she talked about the pressure she felt to be a rolw model for the lesbian community. She even pokes fun at it on her album "Excuses for bad Behavior". Much of the material on the album seems gay themed.
However, she has expressed desires to have a family and a baby (which she has had). Her character on Roseanne also wanted a baby after her coming out.
So my input is she may be a lesbian, probably is bisexual, but very doubtful she is not hetero. Hope all this makes sense. I am a huge SB fan, and I've tried to follow her for the past fifteen years.
"Damn it, Hillary! Keep it together."

Lol! One is either BORN homosexual or heterosexual. These are
the TRUE orientations. "Bisexuality" (whatever THAT means) is a
behaviorusually by curious straight women, or closeted-gay women.
ORcloseted gay men (who rush home to their "wives" after going down
        on some street hustler).
I find it amusing that minorities (gay people included) are responsible
for their own stereotypes and labelsyet, like many minorities, blame
the mainstream for these very stereotypes THEY created.
Bernhard has wound up in a long-term relationship with a FEMALE (surprise,
surprise). She will remain in relationships with womenYet proclaim
an equal attraction to men (which is what "bisexuality" is supposed to
mean. Never mind that bi men/women end up with their own gender, despite
claims to "equal" attraction to the opposite sex). WHAT-EVER.

Gbennett, glad you have it all figured out. I'm an out "gay man" who happens to also have sexual desires for some women. So what does that make me?
I'm sick of puritanical gay people (not saying you are one) who whine "You must choose one or the other." They are no different than the heterosexuals who say gays are in a phase or something.
Yeah, I might end up with a man in the end, but it could be a woman.
And I myself can not understand how someone can be exclusively attracted to one gender. Believe it or not.

Yeah, I find plenty of women attractive also. So, what's your point?
And if the good Lord came down and said you had to pick ONE gender for
the rest of your life, which would you pick? Yeah, I knowI'd pick men
              also.
              Have a nice day, bud.

What if I was in love with a woman when God asked that? If I chose men, who I am more attracted to, I would eliminate any chance of a relationship with the woman I loved.
                Have fun judging.

What does one have to do with the other, bud? Love and lust are two
different things. You can fall in and out of "love" with women, but you'll
always be SEXUALLY attracted to men. That ain't gonna die. Pull your head
                  out of the sand.

                        Why would this interest you?
Perhaps the OP just wants to reach out for some sense of community.

Why would you respond to a topic from 2005?
We all know the answer is she is bisexual since 2005.
