What you are saying is false. My husband was raised by his grandparents and had a more traditional and stable life than his peers. They did the same sports and activities with himand actually MORE than the other kids got.
His grandma was a housewife who cooked every meal from scratch.
His grandmother was 60 when he was born.

this is the dumbest comment I have ever read on any level, biological, sociological, spiritual - everything. It's just so ignorant. There's no one reason a person has a kid. It's not like we need to populate the world or anything. You have a child when you are ready and b/c you can provide a loving home and nurture it and nature seems to agree hence the ability for women having babies until they hit menopause. The rates of all childhood diseases are going up statistically b/c overall health is declining. Health tends to decline with age but not always, some people are really healthy their whole lives. I know some people who ate healthier and their children later in life are healthier than the ones from earlier on. This is not opinion, this is actual fact.
There's no guarantee how long anyone can live. People die young all the time so to say you can only have kids if you can live to see their kids is absurd. My friend just had a baby at age 42, they had tried for ten years so they shouldn't have it why? b/c they will be a senior citizen when the kid graduates highschoolso what?! They will be fa5b4r from the only ones. You should be embarrassed for your ignorance and shallow comments regarding this.

I dont think its a big deal that shes an older parent. No one is going to think she is the Grandmother because she is famous and people know shes the mother, but even if she wasnt all one has to do is correct people. Berry looks amazing for someone that is 48 if people didnt know her age I doubt theyd guess she was that old. People age differently, sometimes people look and feel their age and sometimes they dont look and feel their age, they could look/feel older or they could look/feel younger.
There are many reasons a person may wait to have children they may not have found the right person to have a child with, they may be waiting until they feel truly ready to have a child, they could have taken a long time to get pregnant, perhaps they remarried due to a divorce or death of their first spouse and wanted to have a child with their new partner. What does it matter as long as the child is loved and cared for?
Is it possible a child could have some sort of health defect with an older mother/even father? Yes but that can even happen to younger people too. I have read/seen quite mothers in their 20s that have had down syndrome babies or children with health problems. Basically in life there is no guarantee all you can do is hope for the best. Not to mention there are a lot of kids that are being raised by their grandparents some because their parents are deceased and some because their parents are not good parents.

Having children is OPTIONAL. All because the ability is there, doesn't mean its always natural or normal. I dont care what anyone says childbirth isn't natural.

I had my youngest daughter at the age of 45. I was surprised, but having children in the 40s runs in my family. If you look at any of the Censuses in the early 20th century, many women were having children in their 40s. My husband's grandmother's mother had 13 children, and she had her youngest at the age of 50. There wasn't any birth control available.

Well you're mistaken. Sex is optional too, does that mean it's not natural?

Sure, but is it a natural youth or a botox-induced youth though?

Lots of potential complications at that age.

Well what did you think was the final age that women could have children? Simple sex education- average age of menopause is 51, meaning there are some women that hit menopause at a later age than that. Women have the ability to reproduce until they hit menopause.
