Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Valerie Bertinelli

    Diamond97 — 12 years ago(October 21, 2013 02:25 PM)

I was just reading up on how some Italians/Sicillans have possible African ancestry. Valerie has Italian ancestry. And Heather Locklear who is blonde/blue eyed), Johnny Depp, Wentworth Miller, Carly Simon, Carol Channing, and Denise Richards have African Ancestry so I was wondering about Valerie.

Probably. The Moors (Africans) did occupy Italy for a while in the early part of the first millennium A.D. She certainly is not as thin as Meryl Streep, who has no African ancestry whatsoever. She's been tested. (PBS, Henry Louis Gates Jr special.

Diamond 97 probably meant traceable, recent generation African blood. I agree with you. It's been scientifically proven that the first two humans on earth were African. The Bible even says that The Savior was African. There are no European people with hair like wool. But somebody tell that to the evil liars that have dominated the world for the past 600 years!

Going back to medieval times she likely has some German ancestry as well. Her surname came into Italian from German:

indeed, the WHOLE human family can find it's beginnings in africa.
having said that,i myself am an italian of CHINESE ancestry & highly proud of it.
valerie has been cited in the past of possessing asian features.
many of us "italians" share chinese blood due to trade.
another example is the actor DOMINIC CHIANESE.
when translated into english, his last name LITERALLY means chinese.
check out MARCO POLO on netflix for more details.
you can also research SILK ROAD or SILK ROUTE,if interested in this area.
                xiexie.

                  That's true, but not Val.
Why would you want to even suggest that???
