Thank God He Met Lizzie. Originally watched it because of Frances O'Connor, but really enjoyed Cate's performance as well. I think the next film I saw was Oscar and Lucinda and then shortly afterwards Elizabeth was released and her ascendancy to the top began.

I never really paid much attention to her though I have seen few movies of hers. Until I recently watched Carol, it was amazing! Since then I've watched Blue Jasmine and Notes on a Scandal, which both were amazing as well. Now I'm a HUGE fan of hers. She's an amazing actress and one GORGEOUS woman.

I admire her since
Elizabeth
. Then
Notes on a Scandal
confirmed how great she is. Everything that she does is perfect. But the movie that made me a fan was
Bandids
. The sequeal in which she sings is just so funny. I didn't know that she was actually funny in real life, but recently I've been addicted to watch her interviews and she is so spontaneous. I just love her. -

I've always liked Cate, but just recently I've started becoming a
really
big fan of hers. I'm currently attempting to watch all her movies in chronological order and of course, she's absolutely, ridiculously brilliant in Elizabeth, but it truly dawned on me what incredible range she has when I got to LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring and Bandits and realised that these two films were released
in the same year
. Is it even possible to get two characters that are more polar opposite than the Lady Galadriel and Kate Wheeler?? The transformation between the two roles is so complete that, if you didn't have prior knowledge of Cate, I bet most people would have absolutely
no idea
that they're watching the same actress in both films. Very few actors have the sheer chameleon ability that Cate does, it's a little scary (in a good way)! -

Benjamin Button back in 2008. First Blanchett film I'd seen and then watched about 90% of her other stuff and loved them. Love her.

I was 12 years old - the first time I watched her performance in Curious Case of Benjamin Button. She did a marvelous performance. Also, a 2006 movie : Notes on a Scandal, she played as an art teacher who had relationship with her students. I heard the movie was based on a true story about a teacher in a relationship with her students and then she got pregnant. What a drama
