Both crack addicts. One killed herself and the other just threatened suicide.

why d'ya have to bring that here? She's so fugs, Imma have nightmares tonight. With a face like that… she outta have laid off the bad liner, the red dye job and the bad tats! She needs a plastic surgeon for those eye bags. They make her look like those kids in that TV show. Something with "Life" in the title, I forget.

Addiction ran in that family, starting with Carol's parents or even before that. I'd say that Carol did her best.

Addiction does not "run" in anyone's family. Terrible expression. Addiction is a party lifestyle and a CHOICE. It is neither a fridge nor a virus. It's been proved that genetics do not play any part in anyone's family health and that genetics do not determine if you'll have diabetes or addiction. Rather, it is copycat behavior.
See daddy drink, lift your elbow in the same manner. Mommy buys tons of can soda, bread, corn, pastries, cakes, cookies and sugary foods, eat the same way she does, end up with the same illness. It's not that complicated: diabetes didn't run after you, you choose what you eat and you end up the same way as those who eat themselves into a diabetes grave. Same with the CHOICE that is ADDICTION. -

It is not a "FACT." In fact, if you spent any time studying addiction, which admittedly, most people do not, you would know better. But most people tend to get pretentious and self-righteous without understanding that there are in fact genetic and environmental links, as well as behavioural ones.
In almost all instances, there is a history of abuse and trauma on some level. No one wakes up one day and decides, "Hey, I think I want to be an addict!" anymore than someone wakes up one day and chooses, "Hey, I think I want to be morbidly obese, or a cutter, or depressed, or have PTSD" Not anymore than one chooses to be a diabetic or get cancer.
However, unlike the finger-pointing judgmental people thinking addiction is a "choice," I have a soft enough heart to have some compassion to people to extend empathy, as well a strong enough understanding of psychology to know of the link: Trauma.
It isn't about proving it. It's proven. It's about the fact that most people just don't care.

Again, reading comprehension sorely lacking:- I said it's a PARTY LIFESTYLE and a CHOICE! what happens to you as the result of YOUR POOR CHOICES, is all your doing!
So don't you dare bunch up PTSD or other ILLNESSES together with a PARTY LIFESTYLE. - YES, people do wake up and think "I am gonna ruin YOUR life by becoming a drunk because I HATE YOU!" or "Imma party whoo-hoooo!" and **** everyone else! That they're too stupid, like smokers and vapers, to realize there are
health consequences as THE RESULT OF THEIR POOR CHOICES
is NOT fare for whipping out your "compassion" card. SAVE IT!
No poor choices, no consequences here. Therefore it is NOT an illness. That they are medically ill as the result of "

ing" or doping… oh well! You made your bed that way, then lie in it!
I have an entire childhood of abuse and torture. I have never doped or drank. Not once! It's all CHOICES! I have PTSD as the result of that = NOT a choice! I had depression so severe I tried to kill myself more than once = NOT a CHOICE. (I"m talking about the depression. The suicide attempts were my choices as the result of illness 'depression' that was not my choice).
So please, spare me your bleeding heart: I would not have suffered through years of torture and abuse if it weren't for some asshole's PARTY LIFESTYLE aka.. THEIR CHOiCE.
Once again: Case closed! If you can't understand basic English, Google it. But quit bothering me with your inanity. (Look it up!)

emoticon?? I only have the standard, non-animated ones in the drop box here, same as on my browser.
Edit: LOL I remembered to put the word "cheers" in brackets but I don't remember all the words for animated ones. Is there some way to access them?
