I know she had a daughter (Carrie Hamilton, I believe) who passed away.
I don't think there's anything more difficult to endure than the loss of a child. I used to watch her variety show. It's so memorable for how funny it was and the humor was all clean and decent. She deserves any and all accolades for what she's done.
