Just because he's not a huge star doesn't mean he's cursed. He's still a bigger star than most people will ever be.
I can understand why people don't like Lois and Clark, (it was pretty silly sometimes) but I actually really liked Dean Cain in that role. I liked how he played the character as modest but confident instead of a bumbling dork like in the movies.
Yeah baby! Wooooooo! Fire! -

I loved Lois & Clark, they just ruined it with silly storylines in later seasons.
While I really appreciated Dean as Clark Kent, I am not really convinced by his acting skills. I guess that's the reason why he hasn't made it big. Not the Superman curse. -

I've been watching a few of Dean's interviews on youtube at the height of his Superman fame (around Dec 1995) and Dean said he was being offered some big movies (why didn't they happen?) and that he didn't think he would be typecast because the character of Clark Kent was so well rounded and written. Dean seemed so self assured and confident of where his career was going. Would things have been different had Superman not been so abruptly killed off as he should have capitalised on his hunkability whilst doing Superman.
I still believe Dean will get his big break in movies, I just know it. -

If there is a Superman curse, it didn't stick on Dean Cain. If you look at all the projects he's been involved with in the last 3 years, you have to wonder if this guy has any spare time at all.
This is an exaggeration. Most of Dean Cain's recent projects are either mediocre or just $h!^. -

Eh, that series was not awful. It was actually really good, with excellent acting and writing. It was pretty popular in the early 90's.
Personally, I like where Cain is. It gives him the option to make much more films, instead of just 1 or 2 a year. I get to see him more often with many different characters and stories than I would say Tommy Lee Jones.
