Apparently he was lengendary would polish off 1 Litre of vodka for breakfast and keep pouring it on all day long. He was up to 4L/day or more. What a loss.

How are you being a troll if you're telling the truth He got cirrhosis was from untreated Hep C which he caught from shooting drugs in Mexico during the filming of The Dirty Dozen.
The cirrhosis killed him but he had Hep C earlier that caused the cirrhosis.

I thought people only gorlt Hep C from IV drugs or blood transfusions?
Anyway, Gena stayed married to him for years so hopefully he didn't take out the demons that made him drink on her.
I think he was a handsome man, a good actor but I tried my best to get into the films he wrote and directed and didn't care for them. Maybe I am missing something.
Sorry he didn't have a happier and linger life. RIP.
