Huge fan of this man and Love all of his directed stuff and much of his acted stuff. I was just wondering if anyone can think of someone current that is directing that resembles his style in directing in any form? ..I just can't think of anyone. He was a one of a kind. Gratzi

there wsa guy n th 90s named Alexandre Rockwell who fancied himself a modern day Cassavettes, but really couldn't have carried his cinematic jockstrap..

It seems like a Cassavetes picture, and from everything I read, John helped her out a lot. It's the only film I saw of Elaine May's

there really is no one right now i can think of who has the potential to accomplish what he has. there are other great newer directors out there for sure(yorgios lanthimos, denis vilneueve) but in terms of comparing anyone to jc these days theres pretty much nothing like his style anymore unfortunately i can think of.
