As I recall you were appalled by the events of 07/10 and that's perfectly reasonable. Most rational people ought to have been shocked.
I may be misremembering but I thought you had always been pro-Palestine and remained pro-Palestine, but you were horrified by the rape, murder and kidnap of innocent people.
It's possible to hate both as aggressive acts of war but have sympathy for the innocent lives on both sides of this terrible and seemingly never-ending conflict.
You stupid fuckers, you know who you are. -

yes exactly. you said it already, i was always pro-Palestine and ALWAYS against the radical right Israeli government, but i was also freshly under the impression of the Hamas attacks and felt for the people that were attacked. i wanted Hamas to get obliterated. now with what all happened since then one and a half years ago, i see now that Israel just has no right to do what they are doing there in Gaza. (or attacking Iran) it's actually quite sickening. Israel has long forfeited any justification of the war a long long time ago.
i still want Hamas obliterated, but i realise it won't happen. not like this.
suck it. -

Yes because I donβt think Sophie would have replied at all if she hasnβt changed her mind and I think itβs admirable to admit that she is now anti-Israeli actions against the Palestinians. Most people wouldnβt admit they were previously wrong.

So all it took was Israel slaughtering more than 50k Palestinian civilians for you to realize that Israelis were in fact the baddies ? You couldn't have deduced this from Israel's conduct in the last 75 years ? Dumbass Bob β¦

I guess he doesn't get the irony that the Hamas attack on October 7th was at a music festival.
The main thing is that all are happily protesting, singing and asking for violence.
They are doing the
RIGHT
thing, as the RAF did (Rote Armee Fraktion - Red Army Faction).
The true goodies. -

So I had heard of Bob Vylan before, but had assumed that he was some sort of Dylan parody or something and never bothered to listen. The videos from Glastonbury piqued my curiosity and my government deciding today that he isn't allowed to perform in my country made checking him out a patriotic duty. Yet another brilliant example of the Streisand Effect in action (on an unrelated note, Bob
Dylan
apparently has a duet on Streisand's new album; haven't heard it, but it's a thing which exists).
Anyway⦠I put on Vylan's album
Humble as the Sun
at the gym tonight⦠and goddamn! Dude is filling a much-needed void in the music industry, one that's arguably needed filled since Boots Riley began focusing on his film career. I will be listening again and, if possible, adding the album to my vinyl collection. And I may need to rethink my top five list above. After giving the full album a proper listen, I went back and bumped "GYAG" about five more times.
Wonderful music!
