Hmm…
Let’s see,
One Dressed like a God influencing forever the Rock and all genre. The other like some street trash whore! One had a powerful memorable, mesmerising, erotic voice. The other sounded like painful yearnings of a dying Drunk!
One Died binging till his rocks fell off in Paris, the other With a Shotgun by his own hands!
That Wacky Poet actually wrote poetry books, was a real student, fought politics, fought the police, had legions of women, groupies, singers, the other… ooh yea, he made this one girl famous that started in a band named Hole!

Their deaths were equally kind of pathetic. Sad, unfortunate, but pathetic. Avoidable.
Not even going to address the bait in the final paragraph.
I don't know man, just doesn't seem like much reason to argue over this. I like both bands. Enjoy what you enjoy. -

I suppose you equate death by living to the fullest to hanging, we all die anyway, and all gotta go someway…
Not in Jim’s case, Rockers use life long drugs so he could’ve very easily lived had he still taken drugs but just not a bad batch. Shit could happen to anyone on any hit on any time!
Yea, is not in your best interest, probably dont know much of neither and too scared to admit one is better though you picked the whiner.

Being a heroin junkie is definitely pretty pathetic when you have a child to raise. But I separate art from the artist and I enjoy Nirvana more than The Doors overall. But I do think there are some Doors songs better than anything Nirvana did.

He wasn't good on a technical level. Was ruining his voice by having poor technique. But it was an iconic sound and he didn't just stick to one vocal style. Scentless Apprentice and Something in the Way are on completely opposite ends of the spectrum.
