The evidence that Courtney Love did it is circumstantial but solid.
Key facts:
-Their marriage wasn't great
-Courtney Love had a record coming out
-The record turned out to be good, meaning Kurt wrote it.
-Her dad says she is capable of murder.
Courtney wanted to be a respected rock star more than anything. In 1994 however, she was essentially just known as Kurt's wife. But she had a trick up her sleeve. With a very impressive new album coming out, she had a chance to live her dreams. The only problem was, she wouldn't get the credit if people knew Kurt wrote it. So she killed him before the word got out. She got him high as a kite and then blew his brains out. The next week her album comes out and hits number one. That is proof. She killed Kurt Cobain. -

More evidence is mentioned in the video below. The items in her backpack prove she was guilty. Why would she need a handwriting practice sheet? The theory is that the letter that was found was written by Kurt to his fans to tell them he was quitting the music business, and Courtney added the part at the bottom.
The video makes some good points: She knew Kurt was about to leave her, so if his death were ruled a suicide, she would get all his money as opposed to half in a divorce. He had three times the lethal dose of heroin in his system, so not only would he probably have been immediately incapacitated and unable to shoot himself, but he most likely wouldn't bother shooting himself after injecting himself with a deliberate heroin overdose.
There were no legible fingerprints on the shotgun. He bought the shotgun and then supposedly shot himself with the shotgun. His prints should've been on the shotgun, unless either he has no fingerprints or someone wiped off the shotgun so there would be no prints.
The guy in the video who says Courtney tried to get him to kill Kurt for $50,000 ended up being found dead, but it was three years later, so that one could be a coincidence. -

After his body was found in April 1994, almost instantly, allegations arose that Kurt Cobain’s death was no suicide. Yes, Cobain was a despondent soul with a drug dependency. Yes, he was disillusioned by his fame and the direction his band and marriage were taking. However, it was difficult for people, those who knew him and those who followed his career, to believe that he had ended his own life. Not only that, but that he had managed to shoot himself in the head with a shotgun with a shoe on his foot and with a whole lot of heroin and Valium in his system.
The tragic incident had followed an alleged suicide attempt in Rome. While he was in a coma for 20 hours, doctors found alcohol (champagne) and Rohypnol, two substances that Cobain did not use, in his bloodstream. However, a re-fill of a prescription of the drug for Love and champagne were ordered to their hotel room the day before. Afterward he would insist that he had not attempted suicide. He would also contend that he did not remember drinking champagne and taking “roofies.”
The note found in Cobain’s wallet, unlike the suicide note, describes his wife in decidedly unflattering terms. In mock wedding vows, he wrote of Love stealing his money for drugs and illicit behavior. A very different picture from the one painted in his alleged suicide note, where he describes his wife as a goddess. Whether there is any significance to the contradiction between the suicide letter and the note in Cobain’s wallet remains to be seen. Sadly, we may never know. -
