Courtney claims Kurt was 'sexually inexperienced'

Courtney is basically the worst thing that ever happened to Kurt. I honestly believe if it wasn't for her he wouldn't have gotten so deeply into drugs, he definitely would've still been a user but he wouldn't have had such an enabler in his life. And he would probably still be around today whether or not if he still playing with Nirvana or having his own solo career going on is another argument.

Kurt
wanted
an enabler and he wanted someone to do drugs with. Eric Erlandson has said Kurt, in part, wanted to live out his "rock n roll junkie fantasy". Going by Everett True's book, he broke up with Tobi because she didn't approve of his drug usage. Even Mary Lou Lord had a zero tolerance policy on drugs. Courtney wasn't the greatest thing for Kurt's sobriety but it's also what he wanted. Both are to blame for their drug abuse. -

How is Courtney to blame for his drug use? She was a drug addict too! I don't get this at all. Kurt was a grown man when he CHOSE to do drugs. Courtney was his drug buddy who had her own issues. And from what I've heard from several sources, Kurt was a worse drug addict that Courtney was.
She isn't to blame for his mistakes. She had her own issues she was dealing with. Addicts have to hold themselves accountable for their actions, because no one else is to blame but them. -

Sometimes Nirvana/Kurt fans cause me to view him with contempt. His actions get excused while Courtney receives the criticized
both
of them deserve. In trying to say this to people I'm forced to examine both of their lives. I'm honestly curious how Kurt would've reacted to his parents moving to another country without him. Or his mother being married around half a dozen times before he hit puberty. If that damn divorce haunted him for the rest of his life imagine how he would've been from that. Both had screwed up childhoods maybe worse than what we know but from what is known Courtney had it harder. He comes off as such a whiny self-pitying brat at times. -

I agree, Courtney had it worse. Her parents abandoned her, she grew up in foster homes and juvenile hall her whole life. She pretty much had to raise herself. She said once that she learned how to socialize very late in life from drag queens and rockstars. She claimed that before then she was so quiet she was thought to be autistic.
I'm just sick of people blaming everything Kurt did on her. He was a damn adult, he made major mistakes himself. But because he died, he is off the hook and she is blamed for everything by dumb conspiracy nuts. Even right down to her mothering skills. Well at least she lived to take care of her own daughter. Also even when Kurt WAS alive he was still shooting up heroin while fathering Frances. He was no better, as much as I love him. -

I don't view either of them as great parents. I don't doubt their love for Frances but there are issues neither have dealt with to fully be there as parents. But she does take the criticism they both deserve, imo. I mentioned two weeks ago on IMDb that no matter the issue Courtney will get crucified while Kurt gets off without a slap on the wrist. Even if it's dealing with the same thing like drugs, threatening phone calls and parenting skills.
It was either Dylan or Cali that said they thought Kurt just beginning to enter really bad drug addiction at the time of his death. He could have easily become just as much of a drugged out mess Courtney has been. He's just as flawed as Courtney ever was but he gets romanticized since he died young. -

Kurt was most likely clinically depressed well before he even became famous. He was probably the shy smelly kid in high school who wore the same clothes to school every day and had ugly girlfriends if any, and experimented with drugs just to get away from painful situation while growing up.
When some people become successful and they come from a painful abusive background, they have it installed in their minds they made it to where they are without any help and figure whatever doesn't kill them makes them stronger. So they wont recognize help when they see it and can very well end up dead one day.
Those who had people at-least try to help, even if they failed to help them, that person at least can recognize that others care about them IE) family members, spouse or children. Kurt didn't have this. Because Courtney was from all reports wanting him to live a Rock Star's lifestyle and to have group-sex etc, this could have made him go more into a deeper drug filled depression because he couldn't live up to those expectations etc.
We created the missionary position. You're welcome! -

Oh by the way, I read in "Heavier Than Heaven" that Kurt confessed to Courtney that the people he slept with could be counted on one hand. He said that when he was with her. So if I remember correctly:
Kurt slept with one girl in high school, he slept with his girlfriend Tracy, his next girlfriend Tobi, one girl he randomly hooked up with one night, and Courtney. That's 5 people. If you add the model Courtney "made him" sleep with, he slept with 6 people. Which considering the fact he was a hot, famous, wanted rockstar..he deserves a beep medal. I respect him so much for not being like Gene Simmons. -

Agreed. I respect him more for it. He was sensitive and compassionate. -

In her world that's considered a weakness. Of course she knows how to get ahead.
Anyway.
He could have had any woman in the world and picked. Courtney Love. I would just say that he flat out had bad taste. -

Eh, who are we to judgeI can see what he saw in her. She was the "anti-girly girl." She was independent, outspoken, and driven. She was a great musician. And dare I say she was attractive, but it was so much more than that. Cobain said he felt like he was a rebel with her. He loved her.
Unfortunately they may have been bad for each other in some respects, but Cobain had problems and was in a state-of-mind that would've made any relationship difficult. -

I get the feeling that Kurt had a sort of asexual thing going on that many artist have. Sort of like Morrissey. Sex probably just wasn't that big of a deal to him and he probably just didn't feel the need to be with a bunch of women.
