I'll be down in Benson in two weeks with both eyes sharply peeled waiting patiently for the moment our paths cross again. I just hope tha1908t little hamlet wasn't a stopping pit for him on an endless journey through the southern states but rather a quiet and remote 2nd or even 3rd home for him that he frequents often. I'll have a reinforced spine this time and snap a photo if I canas you suggested:)

I suppose I could trudge along pretending that I really care about Benson but over the last week I've come to some very dire realizations concerning my quest and the true meaning behind it all and it leaves me with a very bitter taste in my mouth..not the sweet creamy and milk chocolatey taste it should have but more like artificial dextrose. For most of us it started with the music. Pure fresh and soul-stirringthen like everything we can't leave it at face value and just have it be a partial backdrop to our lives occasionallywe have to know everything about it and how it came to be..all the seedy details and personal information that distorts the fact that it's only music. Before long it can become so entrenched in your being that you lose sight of self. I'm tired of chasing ghosts, this one in particular. Or maybe it's just me and the fact that I obsess over certain people and ideas. Whatever the case I believe it's the best policy in this life to be consumed with the truth. Not his truth or her truth but eternal truths that are never-dying and give life rather than death. No matter how painful it may be it's better to uproot anything within ourselves that is opposed to truth, pride most of all, and live peaceable lives living for others. Death is nothing to fear if this is who we become. If I could meet a leper, give him my body and take his, I should be very happy.

No, our ancestors just happen to come from the same county in Ireland so we're like distant cousins. I'm looking forward to the documentary Soaked in Bleach just as much as Montage of Heck.a good year for Kurt fans.
