That have lyrics that make you think about life differently but the song is dark and depressing?

I can just imagine him in a dark bedroom, alone, recording this beautiful yet melancholy song.
There are two guitars on Do Re Mi. I'm pretty sure it was recorded with Eric, if memory serves me right.. And, at the end of the song, you can hear cheering, including Courtney saying "that was great, dude." To be perfectly honest, I've always thought of Do Re Mi as a rather happy song with an upbeat tempo and a light hearted mood, but I suppose it's up to the listener to decide the true intentions of the song.

Really? Hmmmaybe the version I've listened to didn't include the whooping or Courtney's voice at the end. Good to know, though! And yeah, a couple people I know have thought that it was kind of a lighthearted song, but I guess that's just the amazing thing about art. I personally didn't think the song itself was sad, but it makes me FEEL sadif that makes any sense hahah.

I don't get all the people saying Dumb. I find that song to be pretty happy. It's like 'meh, this is how it is, i'm fine with it'. It's really cool. I just love the line 'I think I'm dumb, or maybe just happy.'
I would say Something in the Way.

Yeah, Dumb has always hit me as a bit of a happy song. Kurt toying with the idea that ignorance is, in fact, bliss; there's a fine line between stupidity and happiness, an untrained eye may even confuse the two.
I would have to cast my vote for Something in the Way, which is, in my opinion, a beautiful song.

You Know You're Right - very depressing and powerful.
Something In The Way - about Kurt feeling abandoned by his family when his parents divorced and no one would give him a permanent home.
Sappy - his strained relationship with God.
