Is the info about her marrying a prison inmate (in her IMDB profile) true?! Oh Beatriceshe's a piece of work. Last picture I saw of her, she looked pretty rough. I think she used to be one of the most beautiful women on earth.

After watching her movies, and reading about her real life. I wonder if she's really as unstable as shes painted to be.
My god, I would love to meet her.

Her real life has been even wilder than some of her movies, I think! One story I will never forget her trying to shoplift jewelry by tucking the pieces in her thigh-high boots! Wild! I think the drug stuff has really affected her looks. Still, I would LOVE to meet her too.

It's the 'Bardot' syndrome. Affects all true French babes.
                  Very sad.

I should think so. She spoke English w5b4ell (with smouldering French accent of course) in my fave movie with her, "The Blackout."

Bardot and Dalle are totally different, please Dalle is unique, she plays very good, she's smart, etc. Bardot is an old, racist, homophobic woman. she never had a quarter of Dalle's talent.

I know it was an old question about Batrice's ability to speak english, but since many here seem to have gotten it wrong over the years, I thought I might add my two cents.
I remember having read some of her old interviews in old French magazines where she had commented that even her relationship with Rupert Everett (yeah, he may not be
                              totally
gay, who knew!) was finally doomed because she couldn't speak english.
And even in the films where she did have a couple of english lines, she quoth here:
                              http://www.horrormoviediary.net/2014/10/my-interview-with-actress-beatrice.html
Batrice: Well, Abel Ferrara and Jim Jarmusch wanted to have me in some of their other projects, but due to the fact that I don't speak English, it wasn't possible for me to participate, contrary to Jarmusch's "Night on Earth" and Ferrara's "The Blackout" where my characters were allowed to speak French.
Q: So, you would have done more movies with Jarmusch or Ferrara if they offered you French-language roles?
Batrice: Yes, indeed. Actually, Ferrara offered me a role in his latest feature about the Dominic Strauss Kahn case, "Welcome to New York". He wanted me to play the wife of Dominic Strauss Kahn, but once again, I had to decline because of the language.
