Why does everyone hate Tony Danza?

Yeah, I know. I once told a co-worker there was a documentary on TV about Brooklyn. Since my co-worker was a huge fan of NYC culture.
I told him Tony Danza was the host. He went ape sh!t because of that. He said &qu2000ot;I F'N" HATE that guy"
I Didn't want to ask why? -

When my Dad was younger and owned pizzerias, He used to own a Lenny's in Brooklyn. Tony used to come there and bring his buddies late at night and was always disrespectful to my father. My dad said he used to come every night, before his Taxi gig and bring a different woman every night. LOL He actually was rather cheap and always demanded a discount. My Dad used to say he had a gutter mouth and thought he was like a tough guy. Then, one night he really pissed my Dad off by bringing back food to him and my dad had enough and kicked him out in front of everybody and my Dad was one guy you didn't want to get mad. He was nuts. Then, my Uncle (a huge guy then with a Black Belt in Karate) came out and started with him and Tony Danza just left and cursed my dad out and told him he would never go there again and sure enough, he didn't. It was a blessing and everybody hated him. He would come in with his expensive cars and flashy clothes like he was a mafia guy or something when he was just a typical guinea punk. Sadly, my dad passed away in 2009 at 73. I miss him. If people pissed him off, he rip into 238them. He didn't care who they were.

I haven't met him, but I heard he's a pr*ck. I'm not sure if he's always been like that or it was because of the skiing accident. Either way, I used to think he's a stand up guy, but now I wouldn't be interested in meeting him if I had the opportunity.

30 years ago, my girlfriend and her family went to Hawaii for Christmas vacation.
Her younger brother made friends with a girl at their hotel, and the two started hanging out together. One night the two ran into Tony Danza who was staying at the hotel. He seemed friendly at first and was talking with them a while. However, later, after the girl had excused herself to go to the bathroom, Tony got nasty with my girlfriend's brother and told him to get lost before the girl came back.
