It's a wonderful series and Judi Dench was wonderful in it. The chemistry between her and Geoffrey Palmer made it so good.

It's my favorite Britcom also. Watching this pleasant, adorable show helps me to unwind after a long, hard week. Where I live, it's played on PBS on Saturday nights from 9-10pm.
I think I've seen every episode. My favorites are the episodes where Jean and Lionel interact with Alistair. I also really love the episodes where Jean and Lionel go to their fabulous country house (since I'm American, I'm not really sure where it is but I think it may be in Yorkshire) and interact with Rocky, Madge, Mrs. Bale, and the gardener, Lol (not sure how to spell his name). I enjoy the show so much I had to buy a few of the seasons on DVD.
After seeing Dame Judi Dench's great work in this show, I became more interested in her film career and have starting watching some of her films also.

As Time Goes By is what introduced me to her when I was in high school 🙂

I've been enjoying watching repeats of it on Drama in the evenings. I wish they'd show A Fine Romance, the comedy Dame Judi starred in with Michael Williams. I used o really enjoy it

Does anyone know if Judy preferred fine romance or as time goes by?
