I am surprised she hasn't been recognized by the Queen?

She was awarded the OBE in 1970, made a Dame in 1988 and a Companion of Honour in 2005.

made Companion of Honour in 2005.
        Sounds sexy.
        Does it involve sleepovers?

The Companion of Honour is awarded for distinguished service and there can only be 65 members at one time.
Actors who currently hold the title are Dame 1908Judi Dench (since 2005), Sir Ian McKellen (since 2008) and Dame Maggie Smith (since 2014).

Why is a choice to award it to Ian McKellen? I agree that is odd it was awarded so much before Maggie. I believe he was awarded it for helping with LGBT issues.

Why do you say that? I think Dame Ian McKellen fits perfectly 🙂 He did do2000 a great job of imitating Maggie on SNL, lol, was great! Love him!
