    would John Lennon have taken the Beatles down the path they took?
    I realized this while watching "No Direction Home" and saw how ground breaking his music was.
    PS. Don't bother telling me that Dylan pre-dates the Beatles. I know that. I'm talking about the music that he was making when the Beatles were already established.

      Oh yeah, the Beatles would be nothing without bobby. The Beatles started off by signing pop crap like "ohh baby oooh." Bob dylan taught them that they could write about other things than just silly love songs. The Beatles always had dylan records playing while they wrote music, and their stuff got significantly better. Oh, and, also dylan introduced the Beatles to marijuana. So yeah LOL

        Saw him last night at Heinz Hall and the man still impresses me..he played mostly his newer stuff and it was a great show!
