Reading a book today, "On the Trail of the Last Human Cannonball". Has a story about Jack. A western, shooting on location in Mexico, had Jack turn up missing. He was found in a local jail. The Mexican police, film fans all, had locked him up for being evil.
Cracked me up. True? Anyone know? -

You've obviously not traveled outside the US much. There are LOTS of places where this could have happened. It comes as no surprise that Mexico's one of them. Completely believable.
There is an amazingly large world out there, oddly, much of unlike America in many many ways. Some good, some not so good, but often very entertaining.
OP; great story, thanks! -

This story is in a book titled "On the Trail of the Last Human Cannonball" by Byron Rogers. There are some other good stories like ones of Burt Lancaster bitch-slapping people that act like fools and some that merely got in his way, but he wouldn't do that, would he?
I recommend that book highly. Quite an original work.
Thanks for the defense there, cwo. -

Rogers has written other fine books of essays and a superb biography of J.L. Carr
