I found it very disrespectful that Jack Elam did not get an applaude from the audience at both of his memorial tributes for the 2003 Oscar Awards ceremony or the 2003 Emmy Awards ceremony. I know that there were other actors in the audience that knew who he was, but it really made me angry that the audience will clap and cheer for the great "famous" actors, and in my opinion Jack Elam was a great character actor.

Yeah, I was glad that he was part of the show. Actress Jeanne Crain, who was also memorialized in the 2003 Oscar ceremony, who appeared after Jack Elam was another person who didn't get an applaude from the audience. It is great that they were both remembered even though they had both been retired for quite some time.
By the dasdrittermann, did you get my list of actors and actresses that were featured in the Oscar shows over the years? It should be in your private message box.
