This is not a bash Jef fahey thread coz I love the guy, however he has had such an unfortunate career. 90 percent of his movies have been straight to dvd dribble. The big studio movies he has been in have either been flops are have recieved poor reviews. For example "The lawnmower man" (I personally love this movie) though did great at the box office has always recieved negative reviews. Wyatt earp, huge movie again always recieves bad reviews. Planet terror, though I've never seen it get a bad review it flopped at the box office. White hunter black heart, you would think starring along side clint eastwood would be a sure thing, however this movie is considered one of eastwoods forgetable movies. Even with the smash hit show Lost, he joined that as the ratings began to plummet, is he cursed or what?

Very interesting post, lostie321
I'd add "The Marshall" to your list. It was an excellent show. Winston MacBride was a terrific character. And, as usual, Jeff was FANTASTIC! Then, it's canceled after only two seasons. I've NEVER gotten over THAT!! -

Loved him in Lawnmower Man too - LOL! Don't think he's unlucky though, not to have a carreer long as he has. Lost, too, should give him a bump, don't care what the ratings are, what he did in the helicopter is gonna get him a new lease.

He was on CSI Miami last week, in a blink and you miss him role. Did anyone see him on Psych pretty good role he plaied. I loved the grindhouse movie Planet Terror over the other one w/ Kurt Russel. I even liked the Psycho 3 movie, I guess that was cause he was in it same with Darkman 2 or 3 which ever one he was in. Also I love Lost so it is always good to see actors/actress's pop up here and there, that you'd never think would be on a good show like that.
I'd like to think he is not cursed, maybe he selects the roles or likes the character he is going to play. If he is cursed hope he get himself a really lucky rabbits foot.
I always cheer for the bad guy! -

I've thought the same thing. Some of his movies man, they are so terribly low budget. Like, so low budget I just couldn't watch (Dazzle, Day of Redemption). I can't even fathom why he would pick some of the films he's done, but I'm sure he has his reasons.
I don't think he feels he's unlucky, because if you watch his interviews, he seems like such a humble, content man. I think he's probably really proud of the life he's lead, bad movies or not.
Unfortunate for me because I think he could have been a really great actor on the big screen, and I would have loved to see him in some bigger pictures, but that's purely selfish on my part because as I've said before, I don't think being in bigger productions is too important to h238im.
I don't put movie quotes in my signature. -

I agree, sometimes actors just like to work and make money. It's not always about famous you can get or how many awards you win. I was surpised The Marshal was cancelled, I thought it was good.
You are literally too stupid to insult. -

I would say so, considering that two years after the OP posed this question he ended up in some hideous straight-to-video tripe with bat-doodoo-crazy Victoria Jackson. (Imagine hearing that voice first thing in the morning on the set.) If that's not a career coffin nail, I don't know what is.
