Doesn't anyone agree with me? I mean, Harvey has a warm, friendly smile, and a voice that just makes me wanna hug him. He was funny as Yao in Mulan. You go, Harvey. You rock.

He's not!!!
He is, unfortunately, a bitchy self-absorbed queen, who thinks the world owes him a living. I had the unfortunately task of interviewing him (as a camera person) back in the 1980s and he was the most obn2000oxious a-hole I have ever encountered. He made, what should have been a fun job, a living nightmare, with his rude nasty comments, his obnoxious behavior and his arrogant persona (and this was to the gay press - I'm sure he behaved better for the straight press). It was very crushing because before this I thought of him as one of my personal heroes (which are so lacking in the gay men's community).
Well he is not a gay hero; just another nasty queen with enough issues to keep Dr. Phil, Dr. Ruth and Dr Joyce Brothers busy for a long time. I hope he finally goes away and someone better suited to represent gay people steps up (and trust me, it has nothing to do with him being a queen, Richard Simmons, although not directly out, is a decent person, Harvey is NOT).
The nice image is just a stage persons and he only really nice to the straight press.

Wellcan you tell us some of the things he said, and some specifics of how he acted that was so horrible?
Because, and don't get me wrong, you haven't really given any specifics, you've just gone on and on about how nasty he was.
Can you remember any specifics?
Again, I'm not trying to be rude or mean, I'm just trying to understand.

I met him back in September of 1999 when he was in town filming Common Ground. Hr was super cool and very friendly. Even a few if my other friends who met him in a different day said the same thing.
The post about him being an arrogant beep maybe you caught him on a bad day. Keep I mind, he's a person first and a celebrity second
