No, it’s not unconstitutional if it’s a military action. Only if it’s an actual declaration of war does it require Congressional approval. The President can order a military action.

It's a blatant act of war. A sovereign nation that posed absolutely NO THREAT to the United States was attacked by the US. That's how Iran sees it and that's how much of the world sees it, i.e., non-Western countries (and even some Western countries, I suspect). Trump has gotten the US directly involved in this war. Iran has every right to retaliate against this aggressive and illegal act. I hope they don't retaliate but it's within their right to. Trump has violated both US and international law.

It's interesting you state quite definitively that this is a 'blatant act of war', yet Hitler whose actions resulted in the death of 70 million people was 'perceived' to have committed genocide.
