Did anyone see him on the show? Is he always as bat-s**t crazy as that? I thought he was going to grab Meredith and start choking her in happiness at one point. Jesus, was he on something?

I'm a huge fan (HUGE), have met the man twice and it stunned me too. I really thought he was way over the top, in real life he's actually extremely friendly and a super-nice guy, sweet and gentle and loves to meet his fans, but I could hardly watch him on this show.
I do know his mother died of Altzheimer's, and he's very passionate about raising money for it, so it could have been adrenaline or something. He tweeted that he was extremely nervous that daythat he wanted to raise a lot of money, and hoped he didn't look stupid by not being able to answer the questions. In reality, he made more money for research than any celebrity the previous week.
But yes, he came across as annoying on the show. I have no idea why. BUT he did well and raised a lot of money. Maybe he was directed to be frenetic, to get the audience excited or something. This was not the same Peter as normal.
