I'm saddened too by his death but not as surprised as some of you. He
was carrying around an extra 100+ pounds. Some luck out and live longer
but some don't. Sadly he was one that didn't.
Let it be a good bad example for others. -

I didn't really know the guy, so his death doesn't really mean that much to me, on an emotional level, I mean. The Sopranos (atleast from the couple of episodes I saw of it) sucked, and I don't recall ever seeing him in anything else (although I could be mistaken), so I cannot speak extensively to his merit as an actor.
Still, the death of
anyone
is a loss, and, from the posts here, he evidently brought a lot of joy to a lot of people's lives. So, Mr. Gandolfini, it's a shame to've lost you, and I'll try to check out some of your movies to learn a little more about you as an actor. -

Christ, 51 is way too young.
I've just re-watched the first two episodes of The Sopranos. It's so sad to see him on my TV screen and know he'll never be around again.
