I know she never married, and that she supposedly had a torrid affair with John Gilbert, but that's pretty much all I know about her love life.
Oh, and she may have been bisexual.
Besides the one with Gilbert, did she have any long-term love affairs during and after her career in motion pictures?
She left Hollywood while still in her mid 30s, young, healthy, incredibly beautiful, so she must've had relationships.
Anyone know who they were with? -

What do you mean by may have been bisexual?
She was either gay or bi with preference for women.
Considering she was out of the spotlight (even when she was in Hollywood) it's hard to say anything about her romantic life.
Her most famous and most documented relationship was with Mercedes de Acosta.

Well, there have been any number of exhaustive biographies written about famous people who lived most of their lives out of the spotlight. A good biographer talks to people friends, acquaintances, colleagues, neighbors, rivals, relatives, employers, journalists anyone they can find who may have known the person, or known
about
the person and they put together a good, comprehensive portrait of their subject.
So how the hell could there be so little information available about Greta Garbo? -

Well, when someone doesn't have that many friends and acquaintances, doesn't give interviews, doesn't go to celebrity gatherings, award shows, talk shows etc. there's only so much you can gather.
There have been some information about her over the years from people that knew her or knew someone that knew her. Now, how much of those are true, who knows.
But most of those, if not all, are about her relationships with wom7ecen.
