I know she like Hemingway. She was in two adaptations of his writings (The Killers and Snows of Kilimanjaro)and they were close personal friends. At the Ava Gardner Museum in Smithfield, NC they have some books displayed that are from her home in London but at the moment I can't recall any of the titles (although I believe there were some Hemingway novels included). If you contact the museum they might be willing to help you, they 5b4are quite friendly. Even better, make a visit there.

Thank you so much for your kind response. I know about Papa Hemingway & Ava's friendship etc., but I totally forgot about the Ava Gardner Museum! I just found its website and am enchanted! Thanks a lot, I'll try write them and ask about Ava's books, but do you think there's an e-mail address I can send them my message or do I have to create an FB account?
About the visit - I'm from Europe and never been in the USa, so it would be rather difficult for me to visit the Museum. But some day, for sure, I'll be there!
        Thanks;)

I think Ava read 'Gone With the Wind.' Ava also had 'Forever Amber', but Artie Shaw wasn't too thrilled with that. Shaw later married Kathleen Winsor [author of 'Forever Amber'].
