Whenever I look at photos of him from the 50's & 60's, I am just in awe of how stuuningly beautiful this man is. He is the epitome of the tall, dark and handsome man. And by most accounts he was a decent man and a loving father & husband. All of that just makes him even more attractive.
One of my favorite movies of his is Murphy's Romance with Sally Field. Even then, in his 60's, he was still a looker. And we can't forget Victor / Victoria. I always watch that when its on cable just to see him. -

I'm 62 and my mother is now 89 and we've both had a crush on James Garner for 50 years! As a little kid, I thought he was so attractive and still do. What I like about his looks is that he's not "pretty" - he's handsome in such a masculine way. And, as you said, he appears to be a normal decent human being adds to the package.

How
old
are you, MSGreen? (I'm guessing very young.) Beauty is Beauty. It's not gender-specific. The sky can be beautiful, flowers, the ocean, autumn colors. And people are beautiful, too. James Garner, Burt Lancaster, Van Williams, Clint Walker, Robert Conrad, Henry Simmons -
breathtakingly
beautiful. Every. Last. One. It's one of the joys of being a woman - men that beautiful. Only a woman (and props to gay men, of course) could really appreciate that kind of beauty.
Go find some beauty, MSGreen. -

I am 56 and since I'm neither a woman nor a gay man, I guess that explains why I don't see the word "beautiful" or "gorgeous" being applicable to a good looking man.
I still say it's a silly way to describe an attractive man for either a woman or a homo. Now I can for sure see why any woman would be attracted to James Garner or Clint Walker.
