Your theory is possible Tara, but it could also be b68that the producers knew she was leaving and changed her character and the script accordingly.
But given it's Shannon we are talking about, you're probably right. -

How strange, the writers have actually said how they loved Shannen because she was so professional and it was the cast that wanted her out. They went to Spelling, who wasn't happy with her either, and he told the writers that she had to go.

A few female costars on 90210 had problems with Jennie. Vanessa Marcil asked to be written out early, Shannen was fired/left, but you could tell by the end she didn't want to be there, and Hilary Swank and Tiffani Theissen both said Jennie in particular was rude to them. I think after Shannen left, she got worried that she wouldn't be the #1 girl on the show, and since she couldn't push Tori out, she went for the newer girls instead. She reportedly had a really superior attitude towards most of the females.

I remember from an interview that Jennie was rude to Tiffani her first day on the set, Jennie can't back and told Tiffani "You see how I just acted that will never happen again" and they have been best friends every since. I'm sure that if you google it, u will be able to find it somewhere.

Who knows where people get their information, but I know for a fact that Tiffani Thiessen and Jennie Garth are good friends, do I can't imagine Tiffani ever said Jennie was rude to her. I have actually hung out with Jennie, her husband, Tiffani and Tori - all together - within the last couple of years, so I am quite certain there is no bad blood whatsoever between Jennie and Tiffani. Just thought I should clear that up, so that false rumors do not continue to be spread. By the way, both are very nice people - and Jennie in particular is very sweet and down-to-earth.

Good friends is more believable than "best friends", as imdb says, because from everything I've read they don't hang out all too often. I guess you could define best friends, but on an interview during What I Like about you Jennie didn't even know if Tiffani goes by Tiffani Amber or just Tiffani. Best friends would know that.
From what I've seen Jennie is nice in real life. I'm sure she has sides nobody's seen, but I can't imagine her being cruel and nasty.

That's not necessarily true. She might not know what she goes by in the "public eye" because it might be different than what she goes by in her personal life. Actresses/actors sometimes do that. Just a thought. And I have heard Jennie and Tiffani both said out of their own mouths during interviews that they are best friends. They might not be as close now but they probably were back then. I'm sure that they remained friends but maybe drifted apart (saying that they did). -

I'm sorry, but everything you just said about Jennie being rude is completely false. Vanessa left to do other things and Tiffani and Jenni are best friends. You don't even have any valid proof except probably gossip. Oh, and Tori and Jennie are still friends to this day and there close to eachothers kids.

I had a friend work on a movie with her and she made the mistake of asking Jennie if she felt OK because she was so pale (my friend is a moron) and Jennie was really pissed. Would barely talk to her for the rest of the filming.

Jennie is known for treating secondary characters and extras like garbage. Jessica Alba who made an appearance on Beverly Hills 90210 said that Jennie Garth was a huge bitch who acted like it was HER set, that she owned it.
