It's all over the soap forums and sites (and her FB fanpage) but SH wasn't able to re-sign; therefore will be leaving the show im the next three weeks - 7/12 at least - meaning the last air date won't be until 8/23.
She took on the role of three characters: Mary Jane Benson aka Patty Williams and Dr. Emily Peterson. -

Not really surprising. The original story line was been done for a while and this new double story line seemed like a half assed attempt to keep the crazy character around for a few more months.
Stacy did an amazing job with what they gave her (poor writing etc.).
