Anybody who remembers the Spice Girls must remember that Geri wasn't exactly the poshest member of the group, infact sometimes she was really gobby and quite hard to understand and quite rightly she was 'proud' of what she was and what she stood for, but recently I have seen her on T.V and she has this new found posh voice, where did this come from? I mean is this how she really speaks and how she was in the Spice Girls was an act or vice versa.
Please I need answers to help me sleep at night!

I think she grew up.

She sounds exactly the same as she used to - bar the 'smokers' gravel she used to have. No accent change.

She has said that she felt like she was "playing a role" when she was ginger spice (drag queen make up, loud voice etc) which may explain the change.

I think they were all playing a role in the spice girls-especially Mel C-but I think that accent was real.
