LIVING HERE IN PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, MY LATE MOTHER KNEW HIS MOTHER, WHO RECENTLY DIED, VERY WELL, SO FROM AN EARLY AGE HAVE KNOWN GEORGE TO SPEAK WITH ON OCCASION. WHILE MANY WOULD NOT CONSIDER HIM A ' GREAT ' ACTOR, HE HAS APPEARED IN MANY DIFFERENT PRODUCTIONS, SOME OF WHICH WERE CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED BOTH FOR FORM AND SUBSTANCE OF THE FILM IN GENERAL AND HIS PARTICIPATION. THERE ARE INSTANCES WHERE, HE HIMSELF, HAS ADMITTED HE PLAYED A PART ' TONGUE IN CHEEK ' BUT OVERALL IT IS A GROSS MISSTATEMENT TO CAST HIM AS THIS BAD AN ACTOR. IF HE WAS HE WOULD NOT STILL BE GETTING WORK OR APPEARING IN TV ADVERTISEMENTS, WHICH YOU MUST CERTAINLY BE AWARE. LIKE OTHER POSTS ABOVE HAVE REMARKED, IF YOU WOULD EXPAND OUT YOUR CASE YOU MAY FIND SOME LISTENERS / RESPONDERS. THERE ARE FAR WORSE ACTORS, MANY MORE WOODEN THAN A FOREST, AND THESE ACTORS ARE STILL WORKING. WILL NOT NAME ANY NAMES BUT ANY VIEWERS OF THESE POSTS WOULD IMMEDIATELY THINK OF A FEW THANK YOU

I still laugh everytime I watch
Love at First Bite
or
Zorro, the Gay Blade
and just seeing his ultra-tanned face in an "Old Navy" commercial makes me smile

By "not everyone can be an Olivier", Skeevo was referring to the fine acting performance of Eddie Albert in his role as "Oliver Wendell Douglas" on Green Acres.
Truly, not everyone can be an Olivier.

Lay off the capslock, please. It's considered shouting on the Internet.
Thanks.

George Hamilton is Executive Producer on a movie in production called "My One and Only". It is loosely based on a story George told to Merv Griffin about growing up in the 50s with his mother. Does anyone have any information about George's mother and the relationship they shared? I've heard that they were close.

You are a disgrace to the human race. Nothing gives you the right to say that, not only is he one of the great actors of our time, he is also a comedian and a gentleman. His performance in The Family was outstanding. You and your family, friends, anyone you know or like, will burn in hell because of the comments you made. He is hands down the sexiest man on television.

Well, statistically speaking, if "50 percent plus one" of the actors in the database are better than George, then I guess you could technically say he is "one of the worst." My wife and I were just talking about him, however, and as far as we can tell the man has had a great lifefame, fortune, mostly good timesand probably couldn't care less what "film snobs" think of him or his abilities. I'm fairly certain that 99-plus percent of men his age would "trade lives" with Hamilton in a heartbeat.

You nailed it right there. The man has had a life that most other people would envy. Blessed with photogenic good looks and charisma, he's lived the role of a gentleman playboy and man of leisure for forty years. And his acting really isn't all that bad. He does a very narrow range that he never tries to exceed, and he does it fine.
Anybody else remember when he was dating LBJ's daughter when LBJ was president? Lynda I believe.
